ABRUZZO Passion
The flora and vegetation present in Abruzzo Region are remarkable. The botanical biodiversity of the Majella National Park is of incalculable value. With over 2, 118 different specimens the Park is host to 67% of the flora of Abruzzo, 36% of Italian flora, and 22% of European flora and 11% of which is found nowhere else on the planet.

Wild Flowers Walk Holiday is designed for people who  wish to walk at a steady pace and have an interest and  desire to learn about and explore this beautiful untouched region.  The walks will be of a leisurely nature with  frequent stops for the guide to show you and answer questions about some of the abundant wildflower and  fauna.

WILD FLOWERS Walk

Majella is an outstanding area for wild flowers and it is one of life's great pleasures to walk among them. Every colour of the rainbow seems to be represented from mid May to end of June when the flora is at its best. We organise wild flower walks  with a dedicated enthusiast who has an intimate knowledge of the flora and who will help you find the profuse, the spectacular and the rare or you can decide to be completely free to do whatever you choose each day, depending on how your  feel.

On a few occasions, these walks will be 'static'; in other words, instead of walking a prescribed route, the day is spent in one location of specific excellence. Our wildflower enthusiasts are often accomplished floral photographers and will be pleased to help you capture these exquisite subjects.

Wildflower walks set off after breakfast at about 9 - 9.30am. We usually take a packed lunch and return to the village mid afternoon, depending on the length and location of the walk.

Whether you choose INDEPENDENT or GUIDED Wildflowers Walking Holiday, you will be able to discover the extraordinary wild beauty of Majella. Choose your Accommodation, choose your dates, choose your package and let us do the rest.
